It's hard to imagine that Trapezium Telescopes & Services, LLC was actually one year old while we were at NEAF!! Last year, just as Stephen B. Forbes, SR walked into NEAF he received a phone call from his friend Paul Cezanne (the person who designed and administered the original web site) telling him that his web site had just gone up and that Trapezium was "Officially in business"!

We announced several new products. We have the EQ wedge for the Mini Tower as well as the new Losmandy and Losmandy/Vixen saddle plates for the Mini Tower. These products are the result of a joint effort between us and ADM Accessories. Along with the upcoming replacement clamping knobs for the Mini Tower all of these items can be found on our NEW and UPDATED web site as well as on the ADM web site.

iOptron announced some fantastic products, too. The new Supreme GEM is a serious mount for serious observers and astrophotographers. Trapezium Telescopes & Services, LLC will be the first to offer it when it is finally released for sale. There are a few more tweaks that need to be done for it to be ready for delivery. We expect to have it in our hands by June or July.

iOptron also introduced some incredible OTAs. The 150mm MAK and 127 mm Triplet are two of our favorites. Also, the 108 mm refractor is a wonderful scope for those who wish to do observing and/or imaging on the run. We have personally tested the 150 mm MAK and the 108 mm ED APO and we absolutely MUST have them in our personal collection! You should consider them if you are looking for the perfect OTA to go with your Mini Tower.

Our friends from Carina Software were there. They demonstrated a new product which will allow us to control our Mini Towers and other mounts via a WIFI connection. We are very excited to have that. It means no more tripping over cables AND we can do imaging from inside when the New England weather gets cold. We will, of course, make this item available to our clients as soon as it is ready. The target release date is around the beginning of June.

For a more detailed report and commentary, please, go to the Trapezium BLOG. There you will find an article and even a few pictures showing our new additions to our line up.

I just realized something.  We were so excited about meeting our clients and all of our friends at NEAF that we forgot to have a birthday party with cake and all!  I guess we will need to save that for next year.  Stay with us and watch us grow and then join us at NEAF next year for the celebration!

Best wishes and clear skies,

Stephen B. Forbes
